Just for the record; Tomasuchy is NOT an old skool DJ. Tomas started DJing less than 3 years ago in the autumn of 2005. His passion for electronic music had been built on the other side of the decks over the previous 10 years in his home town of Prague and in London, where legendary DJs such as Carl Cox, Sasha, Steve Lawler, Oliver Lang, Nick Warren and Dave Clarke influenced and inspired him to become one of them. Hard work, obsessive practice and Tomas's passion saw him gain initial breakthroughs playing in DJ bars around London and in DJ competition finals. And as the last couple of years have seen the boundaries of dance music genres blur and CDJ1000s replace SL1210s in the clubs, Tomasuchy has evolved with the clubbing scene and embraced CDJ and laptop technology into his DJing. Tomas's dedication to finding new and unknown songs to keep his sets fresh and unpredictable, coupled with his ability to choose the right tracks to keep the dance floor pulsing with energy and expectation, have seen his uplifting style (a mixture of house, electro & progressive) take him to well known London clubs such as Pacha & Ministry in the south to Egg & The Key in the north as well as to venues around the UK and Europe.
For over 2 years he has been a resident DJ for The Poison, as well as a member of the Dirty Dubbin crew for over a year.
2007 was an historic and seminal year for Tomasuchy. As well as his regular London residencies, Tomas played such diverse events as the Delirium launch party with Dave Pearce at the Ministry of Sound, the last ever Space 24 at the legendary & sorely missed The Cross with Mark Maitland, the world famous Full Moon Party (Cactus Club) on Ko Pha Ngan in Thailand, as well as the Green Mango in Ko Samui.
The undoubted highlight though, as for any DJ, was to play during the season in Ibiza. Particularly to play the closing parties at such amazing clubs as Eden and Es Paradis in San Antonio, as well as playing the warm up set at Kanya Bar before the world’s number 1 DJ (DJ Magazine 2007) Armin Van Buuren.
But standing out amongst all the others was to play on the terrace at Amnesia for the Cream closing party with Paul Van Dyk, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angelo, Eddie Halliwell and Ferry Corsten.
2007 also saw the amazingly successful launch of Tomas’s own night “Republic” at Factory in London on December 15th, as well as the afterparty “Secret Morning”, both Republic Artists events.
2008 looks set to be another busy year for Tomasuchy. As well as his London residencies, Ibiza dates & new track production, Tomas might be appearing in your city as part of a Republic Artists tour, where he will be doing whatever it takes to make it one of those parties you’ll be grateful you were part of.
